One to One Session with a Client

Controlled movement ∙ Individual attention ∙ Tailored Programme

The concept of the somatic mind-body connection is a fascinating and transformative approach to personal change and healing. This holistic perspective views the mind and body as an integrated unit, suggesting that our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are deeply interconnected. Through understanding and harnessing this connection, individuals can promote profound change in their health, well-being, and overall life experience.

Movement is healing. Somatic practices, such as yoga, meditation, and various forms of bodywork, are designed to foster awareness of the body and the emotional and mental patterns tied to them. By becoming more attuned to the messages our bodies are sending, we can begin to identify and release stored tensions, traumas, or negative patterns that might be holding us back. This process not only aids in relieving physical discomfort but can also lead to emotional healing and behavioral changes, supporting a more balanced and fulfilling life. I will provide support and hold a safe space for you to connect with and understand your inner experience, how to acknowledge and meet your needs in an empowered way.

The power of the mind-body connection lies in its ability to create change from within. By integrating somatic practices into daily life, individuals can cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and resilience, enabling them to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and confidence. This journey of somatic self-discovery not only enhances personal growth but also contributes to a more harmonious relationship between the mind and body, paving the way for lasting change and well-being.

The session begins with a guided exercise to relax and prepare the body and mind for our practice. In our practice, we will work on mobilising and strengthening the body, work on improving joint health and increasing range of movement within the joints.

We will work through a range of asanas (postures), linking movement and pranayama (breath). Classes are small so each person can take their time to develop and progress at their own speed.

Each yoga class ends with savasana (relaxation). During this time I may include a guided relaxation/meditation.

I provide Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Yoga for Scoliosis and Back Pain.
